VDO Make Point SwitchThe VDO Ocean Line make-point switch is used to trigger a signal from the sensor output for a variable resistance gauge. Dip-switch selection allows the unit to switch on rising or falling signal. Switch point setting is by dip-switches with fine adjustment by potentiometer. This unit is particularly useful where it is difficult or impossible to fit an alarm switch in addition to a gauge sensor to monitor e.g. temperature, pressure, tank level or rudder angle. The unit is fitted in series before the gauge and has the same three pin terminal input configuration as the VDO Ocean Line gauges, making fitment very easy - just unplug the three leads from the gauge, plug them into the corresponding terminals on the module, and plug the three pin output cable of the module into the gauge. The remaining two cables can be fitted directly to the warning lights in the Ocean Line gauges or used to trigger any other light and /or buzzer - maximum switching current is 300mA. Standby current <10mA, suitable for 12V or 24V. |

VDO Multifunction Alarm SwitchesThe VDO Multifunction alarm switches are used to trigger a signal from the sensor outputs for variable resistance gauges. These units are particularly useful where it is difficult or impossible to fit alarm switches in addition to gauge sensors to monitor e.g. temperature, pressure, tank level or rudder angle. Unlike the Ocean Line make point switch 398040, these units are fitted in parallel to the gauge. They can also be fitted to the sensors as stand-alone units, i.e. without gauges being connected. The units can be mounted in any suitable protected position using 2 screws, double sided tape or silicone adhesive, orientation is unimportant - dimensions 88 x 42mm x 29mm(h). The sensor inputs for these units can be piggy-backed off the sensor terminals on the gauges. Dip-switch selection allows the units to switch on rising or falling signals. A delay function can be selected if required. Available with single in/output (relay output, 1A max, NO) or three in/outputs i.e for three different functions (transistor outputs, 0,25A max per output, switching to negative). Both units can be used with 12V or 24V. |

VDO Rev SwitchThe VDO speed switch is suitable for both 12V and 24V operation. It can be set to switch the negative output on rising frequency from 10Hz to 12000Hz. Variable hysteresis can be set as required. Switched output 36W max. Fit fuse to output circuit and a diode to prevent voltage spikes in parallel to any coils (e.g. relays) fitted in the output circuit. Dimensions 58mm x 42mm x 29mm. |

VDO Signal Amplifier/DividersThe VDO Signal amplifier/dividers are used to amplify signals for tacho or speedometer inputs. The signal is boosted to a 10V square wave. They can also be used to divide the frequency of the signal. The basic unit divides by a fixed ratio of 16, alternatively there is a unit available with one selectable ratio from 1,2,4,8 or 16. Used when signals are too weak and/or the frequency is too high for the instrument to read. |
