Bulgin Buccaneer Plugs Bulgin Buccaneer plugs and sockets for waterproof connections rated IP68. Manufactured in moulded glass filled black nylon. The 2 to 7 pole plug and socket inserts have screw terminals for cable fixing; nickel plated brass. The 9 pole connectors have crimp terminals and are tin plated (the pins and receptacles are supplied separately and need to be crimped onto each wire individually). The plugs are rated 10A for the 2 and 3 pin, 6A for the 4 pin, 3A for the 6 and 7 pin and 5A for the 9 pin. Only the 3 pin version has an Australian rating for 240V AC mains. The dimensions of the plug are d35mm x 60mm. The cable seal and clamp supplied with each plug is suitable for 6 to 8mm diameter circular cables. The BNC connectors (for coax cable) are for Sat Nav, VHF, TV etc use, available in either 50 or 75 ohm impedance. The brass intervals are silver plated. There are four types of socket housings as well as caps and cable strain reliefs to choose from - for details see below. The plug and socket inserts are modular and can be fitted to any of the housings.

MAGCODE dc Outlets and Clips In 1906 AEG invented the electric cigar lighter as an accessory for cars. Ever since then, it has been the standard DC outlet in low voltage dc applications, with very few changes over the years. However, who knew about cool boxes, compressors, laptops, multi-media etc at that time? The cigarette lighter type dc outlets are totally inadequate as reliable dc connectors for increasingly high current loads. MAGCODE dc connectors present a long overdue paradigm shift for dc connections. Consisting of a port (socket) and clip (plug), the connection is secured by magnets in both elements. The correctly fitted port is totally sealed and is rated IP 5K9K. A magnetic switch isolates power from the port contacts unless a clip has been properly fitted to it, ensuring that there is no risk of a short circuit in an open connection. Opposite magnetic polarity in 12V and 24V elements results in the components repelling each other if an attempt is made to fit a mismatched pair. The port has a minimal mounting depth of only 25mm. Rated 25A, MAGCODE connections are more than adequate for most common requirements. Arcing at the contacts is not a problem and the units are easy to clean.

MARINCO Cigarette LighterType Plug Blue Sea Systems dc plug. Compatible with traditional cigarette lighter plugs and sockets, but has been refined in detail and offers much higher design and quality features than any other similar product. Designed to withstand the rigours of wet environments and constant vibration, a moisture proof sealing ring has been added around the shaft to keep out spray and make it seat firmly in the outlet. A twist lock system ensures that the plug locks securely into socket. The plug features a built-in 10A fuse and an integrated LED to indicate when the circuit is live. A strain relief protects the cable entry in addition to an internal strain relief and cord seal. Large contact surfaces ensure good electrical connection. Nickel plated copper alloy used for all current carrying components.

Waterproof Plug and Socket Kits These waterproof connectors are made for signal level circuits in harsh environmental conditions where even a small degradation in the connnection may be critical. Special materials and seals are used to allow the connector to withstand conditions of extreme temperature, moisture and even submersion. The connector employs a pin and sleeve-type terminal. The pin flexes outward to maintain contact with the sleeve. The sleeve jhas a laplock to reduce relaxation. Rated 20A. The housings incorporate a positive locking latch and a secondary lock on the contacts.
