interVOLT Battery Equaliser Mini SeriesinterVOLT SBE Mini Series battery equalizers are an ideal solution for the maintenance of 24V battery banks when the bank is 'tapped' for a 12V supply.ﾠ Under normal circumstances tapping a single battery within a 24 Volt bank will cause an imbalance between the two batteries.ﾠ The result is reduced battery life due to one battery being over charged and the other under charged.ﾠ The interVOLT SBE Mini Series battery equalizer will balance or 'equalize' both batteries within the 24V bank when charged with a 24V source.ﾠ The battery equalizer can also be used as a stand alone battery charger to maintain an auxiliary 12V battery connected to a 24VDC supply. The interVOLT SBE Mini Series battery equalizer is rated 10A. The major advantage of centre tapping a 24V battery bank over using a 24V to 12V voltage convertor is that the full current rating of the battery can be utilised.
