Bussmann Marine Rated Battery Terminal FusesThe Bussmann Marine Rated Battery Terminal Fuses MRBF are colour coded DC fuses ranging from 30A to 300A that can be mounted to battery terminals, bus bars or battery switches using special holders or bus bars. Ignition protected and suitable for use in enclosures with petrol engines, these fuses have a high enough interrupt rating to permit them to be used as primary circuit protection on large battery banks. The fuses have a visible window to see blown condition. The compact design is a feature, but care must be taken to understand their function to avoid inappropriate and potentially dangerous installation. The design of these fuses places the fuse between the top and bottom contact areas. It is crucial that the central 8mm mounting stud or bolt does not provide a path for current to bypass the fuse, thus rendering it ineffective. An insulator is required to isolate the stud from either the unfused or the fused section of the fuse. All the mountings for these fuses advertised on this website do this.
